Duke Of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (D of E)is a voluntary, non competitive programme of practical, cultural and adventurous activities, designed to support the personal and social development of young people aged 14-25, regardless of gender, background or ability. It offers an individual challenge and encourages young people to undertake exciting, constructive, challenging and enjoyable activities in their free time.
Keighley has an active unit of young people pursuing the various awards that the scheme offers. The award now sits very well along side the Scouting award scheme with only a few extra requiremenst above the bronze, silver and gold D of E awards for your platinum, diamond and queen Scout awards.
You can start D of E at 14, for more information contact doe@keighleyscouts.org.uk or visit the national website www.theaward.org
