The Scout association is currently active in 218 countries and territories with over 28 Million members around the world. Scouts across the world contribute a great deal to society and are involved in projects such as peace education, drug abuse prevention, provision of clean water, literacy, renewable energies and environmental conservation.

No matter where in the world you are a Scout we have one promise that every member says when they are invested (join).

“On my honour,
I promise that I will do my best,
To do my duty to God and to the Queen,
To help other people
and to keep the Scout law”

The promise is made easier for younger children and can be found in forms that recognise different countries of origin and faiths.
